We're also different in that we designed our Customer Care Program for small business
needs. We keep your system maintenance and upgrades easy to manage by providing one
contract allowing you to receive unlimited live technical support and all software
upgrades (maintenance releases AND feature rich new versions). You can budget with

AcctVantage ERP was first introduced in 1987 (under the name A4) and has been in
continuous development ever since. In the early years, AcctVantage ERP was used
as the basis for customizing systems to specific client needs. Our business model
was much more custom development-oriented, and the AcctVantage platform served us
well. This kept our client base relatively small and our marketing to a minimum.
What you know today as AcctVantage ERP is born of over 20 years in serving small
business customers with top quality software. We learned a lot about how small
businesses need their software to work during those years. We also gained
considerable experience in supporting business clients with top quality
consulting and technical support. So, in 2003 we decided to aggressively adapt
what we learned from our many custom development clients and roll the best of
these features and processes into a single commercial application. It is only
recently that we've decided to "spread the word" and introduce AcctVantage ERP
to a larger audience.

Can I transfer the history I've built up in my current system?

Yes! New AcctVantage ERP users are teamed up with an Implementation Specialist
to coordinate your migration to AcctVantage. Transfer of data, including client,
vendor, product (including BOM), and accounting information, is all a part of
this process. You can even transfer sales and purchase histories! Balance Sheet,
P&L and AR/AP detail will be in place on your GO LIVE date to ensure a smooth
transition with minimal interruption to your operations.
While implementing a new accounting system is never a walk in the park, AcctVantage
has the fastest, easiest, least cost deployment in the ERP industry. Most ERP
systems require several months of hourly consulting (often 2-3 times the cost
of the license!) before you are operational. A typical AcctVantage system is up
and running inside of 60 days with less than two days of down time. And our
fixed-bid implementation service is as low as 25% of the license cost!

I have Macs AND PCs, can I use AcctVantage ERP?

Yes! AcctVantage is truly a cross-platform system. You can have any mix of Windows®
and Macintosh® computers on your AcctVantage system. AcctVantage behaves and looks
the same on both platforms; there is no difference between the Mac and PC "versions"
of AcctVantage. You can even move your AcctVantage system from a Mac server to a PC
server (or vice versa) with no trouble.

With AcctVantage, you'll know exactly what your costs are before you commit. All services
are provided "fixed-bid," so you'll know exactly what your costs will be before a project
starts. Hourly billing on an open-ended "consulting" engagement simply doesn't fit into
our model. On-going costs consist of a straight-forward Customer Care Program membership.
Optional after the first year, the CCP is a fixed cost that can be budgeted with
confidence; no hidden fees or hourly charges. You receive unlimited technical support and
software upgrades as long as you are a member.

My business is really unique, what about customization?

Your business is unique; ours is too! Most software companies will customize their system
to suit your needs. At the end of the day, you get just what you want...but you are either
stranded with a unique, one-off version of the system that becomes your responsibility
(and expense!) to maintain and upgrade, or you get left behind when the software company
upgrades their product.
AcctVantage takes a unique approach to customization. We have a powerful
scripting capability in AcctVantage that allows us to make the minor tweaks and changes
that will really help boost your productivity and give you an edge. These scripts do not
actually change our core application, so upgrades and maintenance are not a concern (or
an expense!). Scripting fulfills around 75% of our customer's requests for customization.
If we can't answer your need with a script, then we will work with you to customize the
AcctVantage application. The big difference is that we will customize the standard
release of AcctVantage as well. We will either code your changes in a way that benefits
other users when they upgrade, or with a switch to activate your custom code. This means
that once your project is done, upgrades and maintenance become our responsibility.
In extreme cases, we do offer Source Code licensing for the do-it-yourself approach to
system modification.
